Mission Statement

Bryce help other children to fight the same battle with cancer Bryce help other children to fight the same battle with cancer - reversed

Bryce felt a desire to help other children that had to fight the same battle with cancer that he did.

While battling brain cancer at 16 years old, our founder Bryce Newman, felt a desire to help other children that had to fight the same battle with cancer that he did.

Bryce had the idea to give each newly diagnosed
pediatric cancer patient in the country a brand-
new Apple iPad for them to keep.

Going through his surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation treatments, and being immunocompromised from his treatments, Bryce felt isolated from his friends, classmates, teammates, and family members. Bryce’s long stays at the hospital and trips to the clinic were very boring for him. As he missed the social interaction that all kids need growing up. Bryce was 15 years old when diagnosed with brain cancer, and when he found out that most children diagnosed with cancer are under the age of 11 (roughly 65%), he knew that he had to do something to help these young children out.

Bryce had the idea to give each newly diagnosed pediatric cancer patient in the country a brand-new Apple iPad for them to keep. His thought was that all the new video calling applications like Facetime, Zoom, Google video, and more, Bryce could give these children the opportunity to keep in touch with friends, classmates, and family. This could give these amazing children the social interactions they need that cancer was keeping them from.

Giving children ability to access information about their cancer

Giving children the ability to access information about their cancer.

These iPads will also help fight boredom during the trips to the clinic and the stints in the hospital by allowing these children to play games on their iPads, do schoolwork, or research nutrition. As well as giving these children the ability to access information about their cancer and how to best fight it once treatments are finished.

The importance of nutrition in helping to prevent cancer.

Thanks to Dr. Pai, Bryce started a regimen of eating much healthier foods, which to this day helps his body fight cancer. This is why the Foundation has collaborated with Dr. Kelly DeGarmo to create a fantastic video on nutrition. Dr. DeGarmo explains the importance of nutrition in helping to prevent cancer going forward and the foods that are essential in that fight. Please look for that link on Nutrition on this website for more information.

The Foundation’s goal is to raise enough money each year to be able to enhance the lives of every child in America that is newly diagnosed with cancer, by gifting them a brand-new Apple iPad. That is a large undertaking, considering there are roughly 15,500 newly diagnosed pediatric cancer patients per year in America. That means we will need to raise about $7 million dollars per year to fulfill the Foundations’ goals. We feel confident that with the love, compassion, and generosity of people like yourself, we will be able to attain our goals.

Thank you for visiting our Foundation and learning a little bit about what we are trying to accomplish. Please help with a donation to support these amazing pediatric warriors fighting cancer. We are not self-funded, so we rely on the public to put the smiles that you see in the pictures on these children’s faces. Those smiles are because of your compassion and generosity. We here at the Foundation are just the vessel that helps deliver the iPads.

The smiles and hugs we receive
are our blessings.

One of the blessings that we have learned through our interaction with these amazing children is that it is not just their own brand-new Apple iPad that puts these huge smiles on their faces. The smiles and hugs we receive from these amazing children are more because someone took the time to show them that people do care about them and the fight that they are going through. Those hugs let us know we are absolutely doing the right thing in life.

Thank you from all of us here at,
