Richard Newman

Richard Newman is a founding Board Member and President of the Foundation. Richard was born and raised in Louisiana and is a 6th generation New Orleanian. Richard’s great, great Grandfather founded Isadore Newman School in New Orleans. Richard attended Louisiana State University where he was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. After LSU, Richard enjoyed a very successful 20 year career on Wall Street working as a senior executive for well known firms Lehman Brothers, Drexel Burnham and Jefferies & Co. Richard retired from Wall Street at age 50 to spend more time with his family. Richard enjoys the outdoors, golf and is an avid SEC college sports fan.
